The Planet Group is creating a partner facing portal to allow partners to track rebates online. As part of this the Vendor’s Channel Managers are able to negotiate and approve individual targets and plans for each partner. Partners are able to accept their rebate plans for each quarter online and have a consolidated online statement of their rebates due across multiple rebate programs. Their online access means they can view their progress at any point.
The back office of the system (normally known as the PRM) will be configured to allow internal Vendor users to complete all of their actions online – approvals, accruals and payout actions – and also provide them with a key reporting tool on the rebate programs.
The processes are currently handled manually which increases the chance of delays and errors so the system will help this by automating the rebate plan setting process, approvals workflow, data collection, accruals approval processes and reporting.
